-Bird among cherry blossoms that complements austere gold - conveying the beauty of Japan
The "Hanami-tori" series by Hakuichi was created by incorporating the traditional beauty of historical Japan. It depicts a bird quietly standing on a flower against a background of hand-applied Kanazawa foil patterning. The birds and cherry blossoms are decorated with a unique technique called the “foil-raising technique”. This highly finished craftwork has been delivered to many customers over the years.
Gorgeous decorations using traditional techniques
Using a traditional technique, each piece of Kanazawa foil is hand-cut and applied to fit the dimensions of the surface. In addition, cherry blossoms and the little standing birds are embellished with a unique decorating technique called the "foil-raising technique" to create a sense of perspective and depth.
