This bowl is made of tall Japanese cherry birch wood and features a tortoise shell-like carving chiseled into the base. Characterized by the Tamenuri technique applied to the base and the deepest matte black that can be expressed with Japanese lacquer.
About 2 cm taller than a standard soup bowl, this item adds variety to dining tables that tend toward flatness.
As the name Raku-wan suggests, it can be used freely according to your wishes, rather than just as a soup bowl.
