Wood inlay is a traditional technique in which various types of trees are cut along a pattern and then inlaid onto a single piece of wood to create a picture or design.

It is produced following the production method of Kanagawa Prefecture's traditional craft "Hakone wood inlay".

It has been produced in Hakone since 1889.

 【Features and Design】

The dragon is a legendary creature and spiritual beast.

Since ancient times in Japan, it has been revered as a god of water and the sea. It is believed that the appearance of a dragon is the sign of a good omen. This artwork is created with approximately 190 inlays.

Display this guardian deity in your house to bring good luck and protect against natural disasters.

Six materials are used: horse chestnut, walnut, kaya, kobushi, red camphor, and jindai katsura.

The production time is 40 days.
